The Petit Prince “Nindethana” is a cruising sailboat renowned for its robustness and the quality of its MARINOR steel construction. Designed by Marcel Subrero and built by the Jaï shipyard in 1983, it offers very comfortable living spaces for a 12.50m boat, as well as a fully glazed interior wheelhouse, allowing for 360° visibility and excellent comfort and safety during watches. Originally rigged as a ketch, it was converted to a sloop to optimize its performance, reduce windage, and free up space on the aft deck. All chainplates are stainless steel, and the entire rigging has been designed for demanding offshore sailing. The engine is a Fornaut 83 hp diesel with approximately 3,200 hours. It is powered by a 600-liter main tank integrated into the keel and a 70-liter day tank. Engine access is particularly easy from the side cabins. The diesel fuel system benefits from a pre-filter separator as well as double filtration; the freshwater pump was replaced in 2023, and the Vetus three-blade propeller is fully protected by a rudder mounted on the sternpost. The sailboat operates on 24 volts thanks to a service battery bank consisting of four 6V batteries connected in series, supplemented by two 12V engine batteries. The electronics operate via a 24/12V step-down converter delivering a regulated 13.8V for sensitive instruments. An inverter provides power for the 220V devices on board. Energy production is ensured by two 140W Siemens solar panels connected to a Victron regulator, supplemented by charging from the engine alternator or a 30A shore power charger. Navigation electronics include an Icom SSB radio equipped with a Pactor for sending emails and receiving GRIB files at sea, a Navicom DSC VHF radio, an SR161 AIS transceiver, a Garmin 128 GPS supplemented by a GPSMAP 276C, a Raytheon ST6000 autopilot, a Raytheon Pathfinder radar, and a Raymarine depth sounder and anemometer. The bright and spacious interior features an inside helm station offering panoramic views and an interior helm coupled to the exterior helm. The saloon features a large modular table surrounded by ample storage. The galley is equipped with an ENO oven, a gas water heater, a refrigerator, and three water tanks totaling 320 liters. The aft cabin offers a large double berth and plenty of storage, while the starboard cabin has two modular bunk beds. Forward, the head includes a clawfoot tub with hot and cold water, followed by a forward cabin with a semi-double berth and a large storage area for sails and equipment. The boat is available for viewing in the Mediterranean under the French flag and is fully taxable. Viewings are possible by appointment with the owner.
